Take Care of You
(A poem for my parents)
I wanna take care of you
Make your life better
Take your worries and pain away
forever and ever
If only I had that power
I want to buy you a big house,
one with a garden,
a thriving business
fulfilling your passion
I wanna take care of you
I don’t want you to have to fight anymore,
cry anymore
I wanna take care of you
Fight your war
I wanna make your dreams come true
Take you to the places you’ve always wanted to go
Feed you the foods you’ve always wanted to eat
Make your life a special treat
Boy, I wish I had that power
I wanna take care of you
Every minute, every hour
His Word:
Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
