I See You, Dear Reader

I see you, dear reader

Lying in bed, late at night

Taking in my words, next to your night light

I think of you as I write these words

Hearing my voice, so often unheard

I see you on the bus

I see you in the park

Under the covers after dark

I pray my words bring you comfort

I pray they bring you delight

I hope you can relate to my journey

And gain good insight

I pray blessings to your life

I thank you for giving me your time

I pray you are encouraged

and tall mountains you will climb

My thoughts and prayers are with you,

Even though we may never meet

My heart I shared with you

You heard my poetic heart beat

My dear reader, I honor you

You are a blessing to this earth

You are a mighty Child of God

Wonderfully designed by the great architect,

long before your birth

I see you, dear reader

His Word:

1 You have searched me, LORD,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.

13 For you created my inmost being;    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

Psalm 139: 1-3 and 13-14 NIV
