Facing Forgiveness
I know in my heart
I’ve got to let it go
Got to let it be
Release the anger inside of me
I know in my heart
This is not the way God made me to be
He wants me to cast my care upon Him
Set my soul free
I know in my heart
Forgiveness is not only for them
But also for me
I can not progress till I set it free
A season of victory is waiting for me
But I can’t progress, till I set it free
Who knew forgiveness would be so hard to give
When the pain and disappointment in my mind I relive
Who knew anger would be so hard to let go of?
I try so hard to keep my eyes focused above
But anger clouds my vision, blurs my sight
And I start to lose touch of what’s right
Forgiveness is the way
I know in my heart
And in this season of mental turmoil
A prayer is where to start
So Father in Heaven, here is my pray
Bring peace back to my heart today
Help me remember to keep my eyes on you
In a time like this that’s what I need to do
Help me to rebuke Satan and his wicked ways
Stealing my joy, silencing my prayers
Help me Lord to forgive and forget
And to remember the best hasn’t come yet
