Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Latisha. Some of you reading these words, already know me, you must be friends, family or acquaintances. Thanks for the support. I love and appreciate you.
As for the rest of you; you are meeting me (through my words) for the first time. I get goose bumps just thinking about that. I’ve wanted to share my thoughts with you for a really long time. I praise God, our paths have finally aligned. I trust you won’t be disappointed.
I am a thirty year old poet. I have been writing poetry for the last fourteen years.
Am I a typical poet? Is there such a thing? In my opinion poetry is the expression of the soul and there are no two souls alike. There is not a single person out there, whose voice and thoughts are exactly like mine and you know what, I love it that way.
Am I one of the greats? Who cares? I just want to share my heart with you and deliver a message to the world from God, using the gifts he has given me.
I am wife (6 years) and mother of a three gorgeous, sweet and smart little children, two here with me on Earth and one is an Angel in heaven with the Lord.
My hobbies are expressing my soul in the form of poetry and writing in general; reading; going to the movies; watching t.v; scrapbooking; photography; listening to music; dancing in the privacy of my own home (especially in front the mirror); going places like the beach, park and other places that are fun, relaxing and beautiful; traveling; collecting things like postcards, souvenirs, teddy-bears, calendars and more; I also love hanging inspirational posters on my walls; penpaling and so much more.
My dream is to one day be a renowned writer but more than that I want to help and encourage people, speak about God’s grace, love and goodness, even if I only reach a small group of people. I guess the world doesn’t see it that way. As it says in God’s word, 1 Corinthians 3:19-20,For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile. Nevertheless, I believe God has big plans for my growth as a writer.
Mostly I desire to grab every opportunity; live every moment; smile every smile; laugh every laugh; cry every cry; give as much as I can; be a blessing to others; use every talent; say everything that needs to be said; stand up for what I believe; live a life pleasing to God and change the world around me one step at a time.
I am a passionate woman, I love life, I love learning and growing, and God has given me the gift of vision and wisdom among other things. I really don’t know how I know some of the things I know and why I see things the way I do. I don’t know everything, but I do know my heart is open; I am ready to learn and ready to teach. I am ready to sound my voice and talk about life from a young Christian woman’s perspective.
Hope you enjoy and can relate to what I have to say.
